Q. Do we have to collect the GPS system from you? A. No, we use a courier company with an overnight delivery service to deliver it to you. If you are in Canberra, we can deliver it to you directly or you can pick up your unit from our premises. Q. How do we get it back to you? A. We include return instructions and packaging with every unit we send out. Simply call us or the delivery company to arrange a pickup time that is convenient for you. Alternatively, just drop off the package at any of our courier's airport locations around Australia. Q. How much is delivery? Are there any extra costs? A. Delivery is free of charge - both ways. There are no hidden, unexpected costs. Q. Can I pick up my unit at [A] and return it at [B]? A. Absolutely! Our courier operates Australia-wide, so that means you (or they) can pick up/drop off the unit in any city, airport or major township around Australia. Q. Do you deliver to Australian airport terminals? A. Unfortunately due to Australian civil aviation security legislation, Australian airports (including car rental companies located in there) are unable to accept our deliveries. However, our courier company is based at every major Australian airport, and is usually a very short drive away from the terminal - of course, detailed directions will be provided - trust us, this will be the only time you will use a map! Q. What if no-one is home or at the office for delivery? A. We require a signature on delivery for your unit - if no-one is available, a card will be left in your letterbox indicating which Australia Post office it can be collected from. Q. Where does the system work? A. Throughout Australia (or even around the world if you hire the additional maps). Every GPS unit has full ground level mapping. Q. Is it really that simple to use? A. Yes, just enter the name of the suburb, the street, and the number you want to get to - then just follow the screen directions and voice guide. Our units are fully touchscreen, and come with a simple to follow instruction guide. Q. Do you sell GPS navigation units? A. Yes, we can sell you GPS units at exclusive prices - we have access to exclusive GPS wholesale prices. Our prices are even cheaper if you elect to purchase a unit after you've hired through us. Before we send out any new unit, we install the latest maps available and any Points of Interest (POIs) such as speed/red light camera information for free. Q. How good are the maps on these GPS navigation systems? A. We use the most up-to-date, reliable and accurate maps from the world's leading map providers. And although roads get built or changed and traffic systems modified, your unit is always updated against such changes. We regularly update all our maps, and participate through TomTom's MapShare service to ensure you are always receiving the latest information. Our map coverage in Australia (2008/09 Sensis maps) covers over 1 million kilometres of roads (approximately 97% of the Australian population) including 560 major rural towns. Q. Do you offer maps for overseas travel as well? A. Yes! Just contact us in regards to which country you're planning to visit and we can pre-load the map for you on any unit across our range. Click here for more information. Q. What GPS units do you hire? A. We use top of the range TomTom 720, TomTom ONE XL and TomTom ONE GPS units. After extensive product testing across a range of large range of GPS manufacturers, we found TomTom to be the easiest and most reliable to use and ideal for in-car navigation. Q. What if I need help during my hire? A. We have staff who want and know how to help you. Not a remote call centre, but colleagues who work along other experienced GPS professionals at our office in Canberra. Our units are designed to be easy to use and work straight out of the box. But if anything is still unclear, just send us an email, chat online or give us a call at anytime. Feel free to contact us for any further questions. You are currently on the text-based website.
